Murals & Stage Designs

Large scale murals painted directly on the wall began in Ancient Egypt and has been popular all over the world ever since. Traditional themes of landscapes and still life elements set into a trompe-l'oeil architectural framework designed to co-ordinate with style and décor of a room form the basis of this genre. Italian, French, Moorish or Oriental themes can conjure up a soothing or exotic atmosphere.

Stage design presents a challenge in scale and a deep understanding of the theatrical requirements of the particular production. It can be romantic or sentimental, then dramatic and even dangerous, or simply comical, according to the script or the libretto. Ballet sets for The Pharaoh' Daughter, Swan Lake and Gala performances, and operas include the Magic Flute, Madam Butterfly and Rigoletto. Plays include Romeo and Juliet, Conference of the Birds and Oedipus in Collonus.
